Building Maintenance

Responsibility for the maintenance of building fabric, services, equipment, furniture and furnishings rests with each Activity.

Each Activity, except the Housing Operation, is required to develop a maintenance plan cooperatively with the Head, Buildings and Grounds. The Housing operation will develop its maintenance plan in conjunction with the Housing Strategic Guidance Committee. These plans should be used to support the Provision for Deferred Building Maintenace.

The expectations of the University and the responsibilities for maintenance have been approved by Finance Committee (vide paper 812A/1987).
